Marianne Broadbent

I have been a partner at Social venture Partners Melbourne since 2013 as one of the three co-founders. My main role has been encouraging other Partners to become involved in engaged philanthropy and growing Social Venture Partners Melbourne. This included some early mentorship and providing early administrative support, and encouraging my husband, Robert to become the initial executive officer and company secretary.
I have learnt over my time at Social Venture Partners Melbourne that there are some wonderful people who have enormous passion and are very committed to young people– these are our investees.
The best things about being a partner are:
· Being able to engage other people to become Partners.
· Connecting with them and getting to know them.
· Seeing them engage with our Investees.
· Making a significant difference to our Investees and enabling them to help deliver on their passions.
